Unlike many of our reputable counterparts, the API never had any doubt who they hoped to get the job as the 44th President of the United States.

Each of the editors-in-chief of the API Blog weigh in below:

A.Rational:
For some this election was about experience vs. judgement, that was cute. This election was really about music, McCain with ABBA/The Beach Boys vs. Obama representing, The Fugees/Jay-Z, that's what's up. (Recall the candidates top 10 lists) Moreover, Bob Dylan once wrote the 'Times Are a-Changin' (1964),John McCain never heard that song.

There is nothing superior about what John McCain offered the American people. He has been the embodiment of 'politics as usual.' Credit must go to Senator Obama, along with his team, who have painted McCain's hazy portrait with the lucidity of a Velazquez.

Finally, it has been this opportunity to unite around an incredible candidate that has culminated in the creation of a new blog-o-sphere superpower, the API, which has fundamentally changed my life.

Raph:

Yes it is true...the API blog has finally made their support for Senator Barack Obama official. The time has come for us to throw the full weight of the blog behind Obama. Perhaps it was the inspiring words of Will Hunting today that pushed us to step up our effort and make sure that we do all we can do to get out the vote. We hope this influences our regular readers to do the same.

Today while watching Real Time with Bill Maher, a good point (surprisingly) was brought up as to why it is so important to make sure Obama gets into the White House. The discussion of the Cuban Missile Crisisexposed Barack's greatest asset, his temperament. What would Barack do in such a crisis? What would McCain do? Barack is clearly a man who does not make hasty decisions, instead opting to think situations through. It is this judgement that led him to oppose the Iraq War from the start, prove to be the grown up during the economic crisis, and to run the most disciplined, and (hopefully) successful presidential campaign of all time. His ability to inspire is never in doubt and has kept me dedicated to the cause.
